Our Philosophy

At Elle Bohème, we believe in slow fashion, timeless design, and mindful consumption. Every piece is created to be cherished, not discarded — made with care, intention, and a deep respect for the people and the planet behind it.

Where is Elle Bohème based?

Elle Bohème is proudly based in New Plymouth, New Zealand, where every piece is thoughtfully designed and finished.
Our studio sits in the heart of Taranaki, surrounded by nature and coastal light — both constant sources of inspiration for our collections.


Where are your garments made?

Each garment is designed and developed in our New Plymouth studio in collaboration with local makers.
We work closely with a small, skilled team of seamstresses who share our passion for craftsmanship, slow fashion, and mindful production.


What fabrics do you use?

We carefully select natural and breathable textiles, such as 100% cotton poplin, cotton voile and linen, chosen for their comfort, durability and timeless feel.
Our fabrics are sourced in small batches to reduce waste, and we prioritise quality materials that age beautifully over time.


Do you offer international shipping?

At this stage, we ship within New Zealand only, but we’re working towards expanding internationally soon.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, and delivery usually takes 1–3 business days after dispatch, depending on your location.
Rural deliveries may take a little longer. You’ll receive tracking details once your order is on its way.


Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — we offer complimentary shipping on all orders over $350 NZD.
For orders under this amount, a flat-rate shipping fee will be applied at checkout.


Can I return or exchange an item?

Of course. We want you to love your Elle Bohème piece.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 7 days of receiving your order, provided the item is unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition with tags attached.

Do you accept returns on sale items?

Sale or discounted items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.


What if my parcel goes missing?

Once your parcel has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number to monitor its journey. If your order hasn’t arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact the courier service directly with your tracking details.
While we can’t be held liable for lost parcels, we’ll always do our best to help locate your order.


How do I care for my Elle Bohème garment?

We recommend gentle, cold hand washing using mild detergent and line drying in the shade. Natural fibres may soften with wear — this is part of their charm.
Avoid tumble drying or bleach to preserve the integrity and longevity of your garment.
